With audiences of more than 25 million each year, CGR Cinémas is a major player in the French cinema industry, with 73 cinemas across the country.
In an environment where there is growing customer demand for fast, secure and seamless payments, CGR was looking for a simple on-line payment solution tailored to the needs of its customers. The aim was to improve the customer experience, in particular for customers booking their tickets on-line, while optimising payment management.
MONEXT’s solution
MONEXT rolled out its on-line payment solution to process all on-line payments for CGR Cinémas, including the acquisition of payment flows.
Through this solution, CGR was able to integrate payment methods in line with its customers’ habits such as Apple Pay and features that optimise the conversion rate such as Updat’r by Cartes Bancaires, which automatically updates the recorded bank details, particularly for one-click payments.
Updat’r by Cartes Bancaires has been a key feature of this partnership. This service, which is incorporated in the MONEXT wallet, resolves problems related to expired, lost or stolen cards. This feature was used to update more than 1000 cards for CGR Cinémas customers, thereby reducing the churn rate on cards registered for one-click payments.
