What is a payment link?
A payment link is a single URL generated by a merchant and sent to a customer, generally by email, SMS or an instant messaging service. When the customer clicks on this payment link, they are redirected to a secure payment page where they can make the payment, most often by bank card.
Payment links (or Pay by Link) enables merchants to increase the likelihood of conversion and facilitate their payment requests without creating a customer account and without any intermediate steps.
How do payment links (or Pay by Link) work?
Payment links (or Pay by Link) is a quick, easy and secure method that enables merchants to receive on-line payments without needing an e-commerce website.
How does it work?
- A payment link is generated: the merchant generates a unique payment link via the management interface provided by MONEXT, its Payment Service Provider (PSP). This link contains information necessary for the transaction, such as the amount payable and a specific reference.
- The payment link is sent to the customer: the link is then sent to the customer by the means of their choice.
- The customer pays: the customer accesses the secure payment page and enters their bank card data or uses a payment method accepted by the merchant (ANCV Connect, gift card, etc.).
- The transaction is confirmed: once the payment has been approved, the merchant and the customer receive an immediate confirmation of the transaction.
How do I share a payment link with my customer?
The payment link is sent to the customer:
- By email or SMS,
- Using an instant messaging system (WhatsApp, Messenger, etc.),
- Or via a QR code that is generated and shared.
How are payment links created?
